In La La Land with photographer Austin John

Discover photographer Austin John, whose signature style has seen him gain commercial clients and a social media following that most creators can only dream of. 

Intimate human moments, lush natural vistas and immaculately designed commercial spaces are some of Austin John's signature subjects. An acute attention to detail and an uncanny ability to capture light - both natural and artificial - has seen John commissioned by a host of luxury brands and clients, including Nobu, Aman, Four Seasons Hotel, Hilton and now, Tala.  

Austin John's passion for photography was reignited after relocating from Arizona to San Diego in 2019. Now based in Los Angeles, the commercial photographer has built up an extensive portfolio of projects for hospitality and lifestyle clients, as well as a huge following on Instagram and TikTok, where his style clearly resonates with the interior obsessed users. 

This Fall, we commissioned Austin to direct and shoot our products at a lifestyle location in LA. The Spanish-style home, adorned with designer modernist furniture and rustic ceramics, perfectly showcased our lights in a winter-sun setting, which is particularly appealing to our UK audience yearning for a touch of warmth.
