A constellation-like display of Voronoi II’s illuminate an interior inspired by the outdoor markets of Bologna.
Nominated for the 2019 NYCxDESIGN Awards, Misi is a restaurant that celebrates simplicity in design, both in its cuisine and essentialist interior architecture. Scores of Voronoi II form patterns similar to constellations, above the grey geometric titles inspired by the stone structures of these traditional exterior markets.
Above the foundational stones lie the various stalls and storefronts, reimagined as an open-plan kitchen, bar, and numerous dining spaces. The golden aura of the Voronoi contrasts the rigid materials and disparate rustic elements, resulting in an expressive minimalist backdrop for intimate meals and jovial entertainment.
